My name is Matt Drinkwater
I’ve had the fortune to work in the wonderful world of Technology Recruitment for 17 years. In that time, it’s fair to say that the industry has never stood still. From fax machines to video interviewing platforms, Yellow Pages to AI generated talent searches. Recruiters like everyone else have evolved over time.
What’s never changed over this time though is an ingrained sense of purpose and responsibility to the people that we serve. We’re relied on to advise, support, encourage, and represent people at a critical times in their lives. Changing jobs is rarely straight forward. Good recruitment is about genuinely supporting people through every stage in this period.
Our primary area of recruitment expertise is in Test/Quality Engineering. We have a history of placing over 350 people in the UK, giving us a huge network and unrivalled ability to support companies with their hiring priorities.
Life outside of work is centred around my wonderful family. Other passions include my unwavering support for Aston Villa (a tradition passed down through generations of Drinkwaters), cycling and golf.
We run monthly Community panel discussions, tackling some of the defining challenges within Tech. These interactive sessions are driven by our relationship with influential figures from the tech community who bestow their knowledge, share ideas and provoke conversations

I was offered the first role I applied for but it wasn’t quite the right one for me. When I broke the news I was turning this down Matt could have written me off as a time waster.
Instead he was super supportive and worked on my behalf to organise a second interview for a role more suited to me and I was fortunate to land that one. I’d recommend Matt for his patience, empathy and integrity.
He gave me confidence in realising my skills could fit well in test automation. I took his advice and successfully applied for Test Automation Engineer which I’m currently doing and am enjoying.
Matt’s persona meant you never felt pressurised and he definitely took on board my requirements and concerns on how I felt slightly lost in the marketplace.
I’d happily recommend others to Matt and it was great to hear from Matt weeks later after I started my job when he sent me a deluxe pack of brownies which I can only assume was a congratulatory gesture.
Focusing on QA specifically it was clear from the onset that his broad knowledge and vast reaching network of software testers would add significant value to our hiring processes and I can confirm that we were repeatedly satisfied with his contributions.
As a trusted adviser, I could also rely on Matt to produce extremely useful up to date market insights that would support and influence our internal hiring discussions. In truth, working with Matt never really felt like a supplier/client relationship and in my view he was an extended member of our internal team.
